SUNDAY STORYTIME & SUPPORT!

It's me!

That's right, I didn't get enough of you last week, so I'm here again!

Today, I wanted to talk to you about pantheistic multiperson solipsism - before I tell you about all the fantastic deals on offer!

So. Pantheistic multiperson solipsism.

What is it?

It's also called World As Myth, and the idea is actually pretty simple (if anything in quantum physics is simple).

Authors and playwrights and movie and television producers create alternate realities based on the stories that they tell. The more popular the tale, the more vibrant the universe.

Which means I'm real and you are fiction.

Somewhere.

And, what's more, the barriers between these realities can be breached, given the right equipment.

Guess what?

We have the equipment.

Turns out, the warp field generator we use breaks those barriers. The reason none of our ships slid into your reality - or any other - is it takes another shift to enter it.

Oh boy. Quantum physics time.

Each universe has its own -- let's call it vibration. All the quanta vibrate the same way. This is one of the things which keeps everything ticking along, and no, don't ask me to explain more. I'll get a headache.

When you want to slide into another universe, you have to adjust the vibrations to match the destination. That's where the warp field comes in. Since it puts us out of phase with our home universe, we're able to alter the vibrations without interference from the rest of our reality. That's why it doesn't work outside of the field; the rest of the universe prevents it from switching. Think of it like this: you're a single molecule in a giant boulder rolling downhill. You want to go uphill, but as long as you're connected to the rest of the boulder you can't.

Get it?

Anyways, it's...neat. And I'll tell you more about it the next time we drop in on somewhere else!

Now for the deals!

THE HOPEPUNK BUNDLE

The Hopepunk Bundle - Curated by Adam Gaffen

Welcome to the Hopepunk bundle!

What is Hopepunk, you ask?

It's a subgenre of speculative fiction, so it includes fantasy as well as science fiction, and it's a reaction to the dystopian views that grimdark novels have. Where grimdark is violent and amoral, hopepunk stories feature characters who fight for positive change, communal responses to challenges, and even radical kindness. It's an intentional ray of sunshine in what could be a bleak literary landscape. It's taking a stand because it's right, not because it's profitable. It's rebelling against an oppressive regime to improve everyone's lot, not just your own. It emphasizes cooperation over conflict while realizing that a Happily Ever After isn't guaranteed.

And it's everywhere.

A few examples, you say?

How about The Martian? The classic Discworld novels? Jumping into movies, look at Black Panther. Or head to television and watch The Orville or Doctor Who. Hopepunk promises that tomorrow can be better than today, given passion and effort.

And it's here for you today!

We've gathered some of the most rousing, forward-thinking, relatable Hopepunk novels on the market for you today and put them into this special bundle. Check it out!

Let's introduce you to your new favorite books! Bestselling creator of the Aeon 14 universe MD Cooper introduces us to Tanis Richards in a stunning sci-fi epic. Adam Gaffen creates a near-future Earth where the hope of the stars rests on the shoulders of two strong women, while SI Clarke brings together an unlikely alliance to free themselves from captivity. Novae Caelum takes us to a diverse, queernorm universe with shapeshifting royals, plotting nobles, and space magic, M. Darusha Wehm asks whether freedom or happiness is more powerful, Dani Hoots explores whether revenge has to be the only way, and Dave Walsh sets us on a quest to save a star nation at any cost. And we wrap up our journey with O.E. Tearman's exploration of found family, John Wilker asking "What could go wrong? It's a simple job," Mike Karpa diving into the divide between love and duty, and J. Scott Coatsworth's epic saga of humanity's flight from a dying Earth into an uncertain future. – Adam Gaffen
